Localization Specialist - French (m/f/d)

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a French Localization Specialist. This is a full-time position based in Berlin, Germany, and available immediately.
- You will translate a variety of game-related materials from English into French (UI and other in-game texts, community notices, marketing/PR content)
- Maintain consistency with existing content, terminology, and reference materials; create and update linguistic assets
- Perform linguistic quality control through proofreading, QA checks, and manual game testing
- Support and monitor freelancer activity as required on outsourced projects for French
Profil(s) recherché(s)
Experience and Skills required
- Excellent command of the French language (grammar, phraseology, punctuation, colloquialisms) and very reliable understanding of the English language
- Previous experience in translation – ideally in video game localization or in fields involving creative writing style (entertainment, subtitling…)
- Gaming experience, familiarity with general video game terminology
- Experience using relevant CAT tools, e.g. MemoQ, plus familiarity with Google Documents and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with regular, tight deadlines
- Good people skills, team player
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with text-heavy games, role-playing, fantasy, and sports subjects
- Command of additional languages (especially Korean, German) a big plus
- Previous experience in localization task management
- Previous experience in video game testing or software testing
