The Game Lab is a Gameloft HQ team dedicated to creating innovative gameplay and game proposals. As a freelance Level Designer within the Game Lab, you will work on an innovative mobile game and collaborate directly with the team's artists, designers and developers.

We are developing an innovative physics-based FPS with a free-to-play model, designed to deliver a high-octane and immersive gameplay experience. The game leverages realistic physics mechanics, emphasizing dynamic environments, player interactions, and creative problem-solving. You will play a pivotal role in creating memorable and engaging levels that enhance the gameplay experience.

What you will do :
Level Conceptualization and Design Design intuitive and engaging levels that take full advantage of the game's physics mechanics and FPS gameplay style.
Craft unique scenarios, challenges, and layouts that balance fun, strategy, and difficulty for players.
Implementation and Prototyping : Use Unity to design and build levels from initial concepts to final polish.
Implement gameplay mechanics, environmental elements, and player pathways while ensuring optimal performance.
Collaboration : Work closely with game designers, artists, and developers to integrate visual and gameplay elements seamlessly.
Communicate level ideas effectively using sketches, storyboards, and greyboxing.
Testing and Iteration : Playtest levels to ensure they meet gameplay objectives, are balanced, and are fun to play.
Adjust and refine designs based on feedback from the team and player testing.
Optimization and Technical Compliance : Ensure levels are optimized for performance and compatible with the Unity engine and hardware requirements.
Debug and resolve issues related to level design and gameplay.
