The Challenge

 

This is a temporary role covering parental leave, responsible for overseeing the management of the accounting function for various French & Benelux subsidiaries of a US-listed company. Duties include ensuring compliance with all local statutory requirements, assisting with US reporting functions, leading finance staff, and providing support to the business.

 

What You'll Take On

 

Accounting & Reporting:

• Lead close process and produce monthly reporting pack for submission to the international headquarters with supporting schedules and commentary on a monthly basis for 3 entities

 

• Managing the accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions of the companies - same accounting team based in Paris working for the 3 entities

 

• Review and follow up of marketing and Opex forecasts and actuals

 

• Ensure all statutory filings including company accounts, VAT, payroll taxes and local requirements are followed.

 

• Manage cash flow and ensure all available funds are invested efficiently within group guidelines.

 

• Liaise with both internal and external auditors

 

• Produce Statutory tax packs for quarterly / annual filings with the guidance of external advisor and T2 tax team.

 

• In charge of Payroll process for those 3 entities

 

• Ensure cost awareness and efficiency

 

• Responsible to provide local business teams performance updates on local and international business.

 

• Provide support to local Marketing and Sales teams

 

• Manager team of 3.

Financial Systems:

• Gain full understanding of T2 financial systems, JDE, HFM, BI, Planning

 

• Drive vital changes in systems for reporting needs

 

• Responsibility for ensuring JDE integrity of AP, AR and GL as well as integrity between these modules

 

• Flag systems issues early and follow through to resolution

Compliance, Guidance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with all local and US GAAP regulations

 

• Ensure full compliance with all SOX controls

 

• Maintain all insurance group policies and procedures and schedules

Team Development

• Manage AP, AR and Financial Analyst

 

• Update objectives every quarter, if necessary

 

• Empower and develop team.
